Training Health Workers to Provide Integrated Health Services to High-Risk Populations in Uganda

The uptake of services by high-risk populations is strongly influenced by the integration, accessibility, and quality of healthcare, which are shaped by the capacity and attitude of healthcare providers, the design of the service delivery system, and the health-seeking behavior of the populations served. Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and with funding from the CDC, has played a pivotal role in building the capacity of healthcare workers through targeted training programs. These trainings aim to equip providers with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver client-centered, and integrated health services tailored to the unique needs of high-risk populations across Uganda
